Rich Fotiades
Director, Data Engineering
Rich leads the team responsible for the development and optimization of “big data” data pipelines, architectures, and data sets utilized for population health management, provider incentives, clinical initiatives, medical expense budget tracking, and other applications. Rich and his team extract, normalize, and aggregate data from a wide variety of disparate data sources including payer attribution, medical and pharmacy claims from payers, quality data from various EMRs, and provider tracking systems. Once integrated, these data sets are used across the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) enterprise by colleagues in numerous departments and divisions for a host of workstreams and applications. With a bachelor’s in computer engineering from Lehigh University, Rich developed his expertise with medical and pharmacy claims with Spectrum Administrators (SAI), forerunner of Populytics, beginning in 2004. Previous roles at Populytics have included Applications Specialist, Healthcare Data Management Specialist, Lead Data Engineer, and most recently Manager, Data Engineering.
